Along I-95 in Arizona, between Yuma and Quartzsite, is a well-preserved ghost town and mine well worth a visit. Walk through 50+ buildings to see how as many as 3000 people lived in the last 1800s. Ride the tram through the mine tour to travel 650 feet below the surface.

As a museum, there is an amazing amount of artifacts throughout, from the mercantile to the school, blacksmith, barber shop, stage coach stop, café, church, sheriff’s office and five bars. Admission to the self-guided tour of the ghost town is $15; the mine tour is $75. Check the site for hours.
