Great treat for cocktail parties and a nice gift for a hostess or the holidays

Ingredients
  

  • 1 32 oz bag pecans
  • 2 cups turbinado sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup honey

Instructions
 

  • Spread 1/2 bag of pecans on a cookie sheet. Place in 350 degree oven for 12-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until well roasted
  • Over medium heat on stove, heat 1/4 cup of honey and 2 tablespoons of butter to a boil. Reduce to a simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add pecans to honey butter mixture and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Use slotted spoon to remove nuts to cool on parchment paper. Spread out to cool.
  • Repeat for the other half of the pecans.

Notes

You can do this with almonds. Just roast longer – more like 20 minutes. You might be happy with pecans cooked 12 minutes.
